Forrest McKinnis - Director
Forrest has been leading the Tri-Cities Officials Academy since its founding in 2021, shaping the next generation of sports officials. With an impressive 18 seasons of officiating experience, he has worked across a variety of levels, including NCAA Division III, NAIA, junior college (Ju-Co), and high school conferences. Forrest has officiated 11 state tournaments in both Oregon and Washington and has been honored to serve as an official for 9 state finals games. His most recent accomplishment was officiating the 2025 WIAA Class 3A Girls Championship.
Beyond his officiating expertise, Forrest is a dedicated teacher with a passion for growth and development. He works with the Richland School District, where he fosters a positive learning environment and helps students and athletes achieve their potential. Committed to both teaching and officiating, Forrest believes in the power of opportunity and continuous improvement.
Whether on the field or in the classroom, Forrest is driven by his mission to create meaningful opportunities for growth and success.
